Northern Ireland Modular Blue Badge Course
This Blue Badge course will consist of 3 Modules, the first of which will start in September 2025.

Module 1: Cruise Ship Guiding Certificate Module with 120 contact hours and at least the same amount of self study, running from September 2025 - April 2026.
Module 2: Belfast Green Badge Course with 90 contact hours and at least the same amount of self study, running from September 2026 - April 2027.
Module 3: Northern Ireland Blue Badge Module with 150 contact hours and at least the same amount of self study, running from September 2027 - April 2028.
The modular course will enable candidates to “Earn as they Learn”. The break between modules can be used to work, gain experience and help funding the next module.
The modular approach also means that those who recently acquired the Belfast Green Badge will be able to upgrade to Blue Badge and have their Green Badge accredited as prior learning.
