Guides who have achieved the Institute of Tourist Guiding's Blue, Green or White Badge qualification can be recognised by the photocard they proudly wear, showing their area of qualification and the languages they offer.
Why book an Institute qualified Blue, Green or White Badge guide?
All our guides have successfully completed a comprehensive training course, some lasting up to 18 months. They have been trained in interpreting both historic and contemporary sites in an entertaining and accessible way. Their range and depth of knowledge can be used to capture the highlights or tailor tours to specific interests.
All Institute members will have current public liability insurance and will be up to date with the latest site regulations, ensuring your visit goes smoothly. In addition, all driver guides hold a private hire licence issued by their local or regional licencing authority ( for example, London Driver Guides are licensed by Transport for London).
