York Minster Endorsement Course

'York Minster'
Institute Accredited Endorsement Course
21 - 25 November 2011

York Minster is one of the greatest gothic architectural achievements in Europe. This highly acclaimed course offers participants the opportunity to gain a detailed knowledge of the Minster's history, architecture and purpose through a series of tailor made lectures and tours. On successful completion of this course, participants will be able to guide their own groups within the Minster, giving them information for their specific interests.

Lectures and tours are delivered by lecturers, education officers, guides and staff at York Minster, who are all specialists in their fields. As well as covering a general history of York Minster, the course covers the Minster's architecture, stained glass, monuments and heraldry, and there are specialist tours of areas inaccessible to the general public, such as the Minster's Stoneyard, York Glaziers Trust workshops, and visits to inside the Chapter House roof spaces and Mason's Loft.  The course also covers operational and Health & Safety procedures.

Course Fee: The cost of the course is £300 per candidate and includes tuition fees. However, candidates are responsible for making their own arrangements for travel, accommodation and meals.
