22/02/2011: Language Exam Preparation Seminar

Once again we will be running a seminar for those wishing to prepare further for their non-english language exam/s. The fee is £40 per candidate, and will take place on 28th September 2011 at 6pm. Here you will gain a better idea of what to expect in the exam/s, as well as being able to put questions to those who will be closely involved with the language exams. Please note that this seminar is not designed for those sitting English or Level 2 Language exams.

22/02/2011: Opportunity to study for a BA (Hons) Tourist Guiding - recruiting now

Blue Badge Guides are enabled by their qualified status to progress to a BA (Hons) Tourist Guiding. This honours degree aims to inspire and invigorate approaches to tourist guiding by seeking to identify scope for future development, whilst adding to professionalism within the field. The course has been running since 2008 and is offered by Coleg Llandrillo in Wales.

17/03/2008: Joint Working Group - Proposals for a New Structure

The Institute together with representatives of the Guild of Registered Tourist Guides have set up a joint working group to examine the proposals for a new structure for the guiding profession, embracing the regulatory and standard-setting functions of the Institute and the membership services provided by the Guild.
