Details: The Institute of Tourist Guiding Consultative Council took place at St Martin in the Fields on Wednesday 18 March 2009, hosted by Julie Emig (Marketing Manager) and Karen Price (Concerts Manager). This annual Institute event is an opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from the Travel Trade as well as local and national government representatives. Details: The Institute of Tourist Guiding 2009 AGM was held on Thursday 12 November at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. There were three tours for the morning of the AGM day - a boat tour of Cardiff Bay, a city centre walk and a tour of the Millennium Stadium itself. The main networking event was a three-course sit down lunch in the Dragon Suite and the keynote speaker was Ieuan Evans MBE, former Wales rugby union footballer and current chairman of the Welsh Assembly Government Tourism Advisory Panel.
